EDUCATE + EMPOWER
As we prepare to commemorate the 125th anniversary of the founding of Colorado Women's College, we are reminded of its guiding principle for which we still stand: to educate and empower women. As the only women's college in the country to exist after a merger with a larger university, we are fortunate to have the commitment and investment of the University of Denver in creating an academically challenging, empowering and transformational learning environment. Together, we are working to educate students through an undergraduate college that places women at the center.
IMPACT + INFLUENCE
For 125 years, Colorado Women's College has impacted and influenced women in meaningful ways. Today, we stand as a college dedicated to educating women leaders at a time when women still only fill 18% of top leadership roles. At Colorado Women's College, women's thought leadership is elevated in the classroom, through research, and in salons where women lead conversation and commentary to address the great issues of the day. Students graduate prepared to lead — advancing future generations of women and girls as catalysts for purposeful lives.
LEGACY + PROMISE
Colorado Women's College and the University of Denver have an esteemed presence in Colorado. Both names evoke academic quality, prestige, as well as local and global service learning opportunities which will position the college for decades to come. Our legacy of a women's only college unites us as we look towards our shared future with excitement and promise. We invite you to celebrate this special time as we make our mark on the future of women's education as the University of Denver – Colorado Women's College.
